About Me

Hello! I'm Riley, aka R.Nelson Photography. I specialize in outdoor, natural-light portraiture and vehicle photography. I am from a small town in Maine called Pittsfield, and I am currently a senior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick Maine studying Computer Science and Government and Legal Studies (ironic right?)

Photography started as a way for me to document my travels with my family and the world around me. I didn't discover my love for helping others make memories until my senior year of high school, where I spent a month shadowing a portrait photographer for a school project. Since then I have been absolutely hooked! I have been a Canon shooter since day 1, starting on an R10 with kit lens, and over time learning and improving my kit to what you see below!

My goal for every single shoot is to make the experience comfortable, fun, and completely tailored to you. When I'm not mid session or editing photos, you can usually find me outdoors tracking down local wildlife, attending regional automotive and aviation events, or taking part in one of my hobbies listed below!
